McDan–GACL dispute could undermine investor confidence – GaDangme Coalition

“This matter goes beyond a simple contractual disagreement; it raises critical national questions about investor confidence, fairness, and the protection of indigenous enterprise in Ghana,” the coalition said.
The group noted that the private aviation facility was developed after operations were relocated to Terminal 3, leaving the previous terminal underutilised.
“With an investment running into several millions of dollars, the company transformed the facility into Ghana’s first private Fixed Base Operator terminal,” the statement added, emphasising that the project was intended to support business aviation and strengthen Ghana’s position as a regional hub for executive travel.
The coalition further highlighted that publicly available information indicates McDan Aviation largely met its financial obligations under the licence agreement.
